Don Geronimo got his first work in stereo at the age of 14, at WRWC in Rockton, Illinois. Or got fired. But his love of radio never stopped rising, as his career accelerated.

At Fun Lovin’ 13Q Don was around and out the oxygen in the key industry of Pittsburgh, from the age of 16. At seventeen, he was working in Nyc, doing the nightshift at 99X. Then he got fired. Again. And began the climb all the way back-up radio stations hierarchy.
From 1977-1979 Don worked in Providence, RI, Indianapolis, and Detroit. In 1979 he was chosen at WPGC in Washington, DC. From there it had been to KIIS- FM in Los Angeles after which WLS in Chicago. After going to WBBM-FM in Chicago for mornings, he relocated yet back to Washington DC in 1985.

The move to WAVA combined with the start of Don’s daughter Bart in ’85 recommended no more moving for a while. Don was transferred to days and combined with Mike O’Meara to the WAVA Morning Zoo thru 1991 after performing the evening transfer on WAVA. At that point, more info the now rebranded "Don & Mike Show" moved to WJFK and back to afternoons in DC. The M & D show went for more than 20 years, and at one level was syndicated to over 50 stations. Don retired from that show in 2008, returning to radio in 2010 at KHTK in Sacramento. He kept there of 36 months, till he was dismissed. Once again!

That resulted in the beginning of the DonGeronimoPodcast.com! Many samples of Don’s atmosphere work around the M & D display and solo is found at Airchexx.com. Don continues to produce his wonder everyday via live streaming and downloads. Don won the Billboard Air Personality Of The Season in 1978 (medium markets), and again in 1981 (main markets) and 1984 (major markets). Don has appeared in a handful of videos and tvshows, most famously, his two "stellar" hearings on King Of Queens. More is found on Don’s IMDB page.
